PhiBrow : Everything you need to know

What are PhiBrows?

PhiBrows is the manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. The shape of the brow is calculated according to the golden intersection (phi 1.618) in conjunction with the natural angles of your face. Pigment is applied to the surface layer of the skin using disposable sterile tools. The Phibrow pigments are mixed and customised to match the client's natural hair colour.

How Long Do Phibrows last?

The effects of Phibrows can last anywhere between 8-12 months. Longevity of the treatment is dependent upon skin type, aftercare and lifestyle. After sometime the strokes will need to be refreshed and the beauty of this treatment is that hair strokes fade gradually over the course of a year giving you the choice whether to continue with the treatment or let it fade completely over time.

‘I was delighted with the results….”

It all begins with a one-to-one consultation with Aisling. So you feel confident and comfortable.

What Are PhiBrows?

PhiBrows is the manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. The shape of the brow is calculated according to the golden intersection (phi 1.618) in conjunction with the natural angles of the face. Symmetry is achieved through PhiBrows application and it is calculated while the clients’ eyes are closed as the muscles that can affect eyebrows’ symmetry are relaxed.

Pigment is applied into the surface layer of the dermis using with disposable sterile tools. The unique pigment, produced in accordance with the highest standards, is customised to match the natural hair colour. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hairs’ growth to achieve hyper-realistic look.

Does It Hurt and How long does it take?

Phibrows shouldn’t be painful as mild anaesthetic creams are applied that can entirely eliminate the pain. Discomfort during treatment is relative it really does depend on the person. Some clients compare the pain to the one they feel when having eyebrows plucked while others feel it a little stronger. The healing is fully completed after 28 days and the client will come back in for a mandatory top up appointment. This is when we refresh the pigment that has been lost and perfect the brows.

The Phibrow Treatment is a 2 appointment process to ensure the most natural result. Each session being, 6 to 8 weeks apart. After the first session, Aisling evaluates the healed strokes previous strokes will be strengthened and additional hair strokes can be added. Please give 1.5 to 2 hours for each of your phibrow appointments.

The success of the treatment depends on the skin quality, post-treatment care and exposure to different external factors.

All of these factors are out of the artist’s control, so any possibility to provide guarantees for the treatment is excluded. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing chemo the treatment cannot be carried out.
